We are in the process of developing an Outlook plug-in that allows users to link their Outlook e-mail accounts to any web based CRM application (SugarCRM, SplendidCRM, MS CRM etc) being used in their organizations. The plug-in is used to extract data from the e-mail messages and store them in the CRM application.

The plug-in allows users to define and apply filters on incoming e-mails. The plug-in scans incoming e-mails and segregates e-mail messages received from specific sender or containing specific keywords in their subject lines. The user is then alerted to the fact that such messages have been received and is prompted to take necessary action. The user can choose to extract information from the filtered messages to create leads, opportunities, accounts or contacts in their CRM application.

The plug-in automates the process of transferring information to the CRM application thereby doing away with the manual and error prone process of filtering e-mails and adding them to the CRM application.
